The Nova Scotia Wind Energy Project (NSWEP) was a community-based educational programme that collected wind data from various sites around Nova Scotia. The project ran between 2000 and 2003 with initial funding from Environment Canada's Climate Change Action Fund - Public Education (CCAF-PE). The project raised awareness about wind energy in the province and has helped push wind energy to the forefront of the renewable energy debate in Nova Scotia.
NSWEP was run by Dr. Larry Hughes and Mr. Andy George, both of Dalhousie University.
